Saitek X45 Joystick

I am using an Advenr Quad processor with Vista. Joystick side of my X45 is working fine but on the throttle side both the rudder control and throttle are operating like switches - either off or full on. There is no gradation. Also, I am unable to assign either of the rotary switches. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.

Re: Saitek X45 Joystick

Hi Dereck,

I'm not familiar with that controller and thus don't have one here to test on Vista but it sounds like a driver problem.  The inputs are being recognised by Vista as switches which suggests that the mapping of the device is wrong.  Have you downloaded & installed the latest drivers from Saitek's website?  Whilst Vista usually recognises these devices automatically, the manufacturers drivers are usually better and more recent.  Is there a calibration option for this controller in the control panel?  The inputs are possibly user configurable/assigned...  If so, make sure those controls are set as analogue.

Regards,

Robin
